Hong Kong Disneyland, one of the main theme parks in Hong Kong, also launchs special event and activities to celebrate and share the joy of Christmas. Let's step into storybook fantasy in this Christmas! :)

Brand new character Duffy joins the big family of Hong Kong Disneyland. In this Christmas, Minnie made Duffy and give it to Mickey as his Chrismas gift.

It is Duffy. It's lovely, isn't it? (Do you notice that there are Mickey patterns on his face and feet?)
You can meet Duffy the Disney Bear and his friends in Disneyland!
Don't forget Mickey & Minnie. They will be specially dressd up a "Christmas Look" and get ready for your camera!

In addition to Duffy, what's new? The Main Street U.S.A. is decorated as a Christmas town. Being there you must feel like being in a traditional Christmas city.

How can it be Christmas without candies and ginger man? Gingerbread village is on full display in everywhere and there must be rich Christmas atmosphere.

Christmas parade "Let it Snow" is also on stage! Enjoy continuous gentle snowfall, as well as great performance.

Hong Kong Lesbian & Gay Film Festival (19 Nov - 1 Dec 2010)

If you ask me whether it's important for Hong Kong to have The Lesbian & Gay Film Festival or not, my answer would be "Yes!" Everyone in Seattle, San Francisco, London, Africa and Tokyo is enjoying good movies but why not Hong Kong?

Hong Kong is a culturally diversed cosmopolitian city in which homosexuality is legal and public opinion shows increasing awareness and acceptance for LGBT people. However, there are only limited anti-discrimination laws but no legal recognition for same-sex couples. HKLGFF has been very high profile in the public eye for the past few years as there is nothing to hide behind the closet.

Apart from entertaining people, the movies can also educate. The films show diverse backgrounds and stories from many different countries. They tell you what it means to be gay in all sorts of countries around the world.

There will be opeing gala parties for boys and girls on 19 Nov 2010 (Friday) and a closing gala party on 1 Dec 2010. Check out the details at http://hklgff.hk/en/index.html. Come celebrate the biggest LGBT festival in Hong Kong and see the you all at the cinema!

Walking with Buddha in Ngong Ping 360

After joining the Parkour Extravaganza, you can
also enjoy the other experience at NP360 -Walking with Buddha in Ngong Ping 360

Walking with Buddha in Ngong Ping 360 is an immersive, multimedia attraction allowing visitors to follow the life of Siddhartha Gautama - the man who became Buddha - and his path to enlightenment.

The story begins with a unique Bodhi Tree experience in the courtyard. Through the mist and incense, the voice of the Bodhi Tree introduces the story of a man who asked himself "Who am I and why am I here?" This is the story of how a man named Siddhartha became Buddha.

Walking with Buddha physically takes you on an immersive journey through Siddhartha's life. From the opulence of Siddhartha's Palace to the harshness of the Forest, you will feel as if you are truly 'walking with Buddha'. Travelling through the various stages of Siddhartha's life, you will witness his transition from being a Prince at Court to reaching supreme awareness and becoming Buddha

Continue onwards to the 'Temple', here we invite you to pick a leaf from the Bodhi Tree, which will be inscribed with a 'Bodhi Thought' for your contemplation.

Your Walking with Buddha experience ends with a stroll along the 'Path of Enlightenment', which reveals the origins of Buddhism and allows you to track its expansion across the globe. You will also be enlightened as to the essence of Buddha's teachings through a variety of themed scenes and activities.
